Our Director of Strategy & Operations, Joanna Burgess, discussed the background to the new RICS guidance that was released in June 2021 with Barrister Tom Carter of Ropewalk Chambers. The two cover and changes in the new guidance, evidence lawyers need to consider and expected changes before the final draft.
Tom is a barrister who acted for the successful claimant, Mr Williams, in the case of Williams v Network Rail. That case was heard by the Court of Appeal in 2018 and is the leading case on Japanese knotweed claims. In the Legal 500, he is listed as a tier 1 barrister for property disputes and is particularly well known for knotweed claims.
